Pick and Mix Homework This is a range of 8 activities each half term to choose from. They may be mini projects or tasks from different areas of learning. The teacher may inform children of how many tasks to complete by the end of the half term.
Here are the 30 skills I selected to be tested on each set of papers. (Click the image to view larger) Although there are some topics that haven't been selected, I couldn't pick more than 30 or the skills wouldn't be repeated across the 10 papers (which I felt was important).
At Millbrook we run a Pick-n-Mix style Homework system to allow the children some choices with their home learning. As far as possible, home learning is related to class topics which are taken from the school’s curriculum which is supported by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).Children may also complete the optional 'Pick 'n' Mix' homework tasks and share these achievements during show and tell. Spellings: Spelling rules and sounds that we are focusing on each half term can be found in your child's homework book.Homework - Pick and Mix The teaching staff have selected some activities that will support your child with their learning this term and encourage them to become independent learners. Please make time to choose and do some of these activities with your child throughout the term.
Pick N Mix Homework. Our homework is in the style of a 'Pick 'n' mix' and we set this half termly to match our topic. The children are given one sheet at the beginning of the half term term that contains lots of different activities that can be completed independently or with an adult.
Make your sweet selection from our wide variety of sweets and add your selected weight of these sweets to your own pick and mix bag. There is no limit on the number of sweets you are able to select, if you have a particular favourite you can add a larger weight of those sweets to your bag.
Homework: Homework is handed out every Wednesday and will have an English and Mathematics focus. Please ensure homework is handed in on the following Wednesday to ensure work can be marked and returned promptly. Children may also complete the optional 'Pick 'n' Mix' homework tasks and share these achievements during show and tell.
Larks have also produced some amazing wildlife themed pick 'n' mix homework from habitat models to paintings. We had a show and tell afternoon sharing all of our homework. This is just some of the fantastic work that Larks class produced.
